Weininger Resistance Sliding (WRS) is the brainchild of the UK’s first Gladiator Champion Weininger Irwin. The idea came whilst watching his two year old son sliding along the ground; it sparked the beginning of the Resistance Sliding idea.
Resistance Sliding is a simple but very effective activity where the participant uses his/her bodyweight to move from point A to B. A major positive of Resistance Sliding is that it allows training/competition for disabled and able bodied participants with no concessions. It is also an ideal training complement for a variety of sports because it isolates and stimulates specific muscles groups, therefore conditioning and strengthening at the same time.
